Call Ontario One Call. 1-800-400-2255
Ontario One Call is a call centre that manages requests for service locates for most utilities. If you plan on digging, contact them to give notice where you want to dig. They notify any utilities that may have services buried in your area. The utilities will then contact you to advise when you can dig. They may need to send a representative out to mark service lines before you can dig safely.
To start the process, simply complete the request form on the Ontario One Call website or call toll free at 1-800-400-2255. You must contact them one week before you plan to dig.
INSPECTIONS
Electrical safety permits are required for any new service or service upgrade. For electrical safety permits and inspections, please call Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) at 1-877-372-7233.
